At a steel mill in Germany, R&V Engineering recently commissioned a supplementary firing system which is designed for 100% Blast Furnace Gas and 100% Natural gas firing in turbine exhaust gas mode (TEG) as well as in ambient air mode (AA).

Blast Furnace Gas can be fired in any combination with Natural gas but also without the support of Natural Gas. (100% BFG firing). Through the unique by-pass system optimum firing conditions on both fuels can be obtained to meet all latest environmental standards.
